Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change (Jim Rohn)
My name is Anna and I am a qualified counsellor holding a Postgraduate Clinical Diploma in Counselling (PGDC) in Transactional Analysis (TA)awarded by the Middlesex University London. Using TA ideas and models is a great way of illustrating the psychological mechanisms behind many emotional problems. Simplicity of TA allows people to discover what distorts the here-and-now relationship between people and how “to fight the past in the present in order to assure the future”. I also use elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) based on Mindfulness Practice which very well address the "present moment" difficulties from the perspective of "here and now" as well as so called DBT Skills (Dialectic Behaviour Therapy) which is very effective for emotional regulation. Apart from my degree in counselling, I hold a BA in Business Administration and an MA in Marketing and Management.
I currently work in private practice in West London/Ealing and in Gillingham/Kent. Since 2007 I have been also volunteering part-time to support vulnerable adults at a couple of charity organisations based in London. In 2015/2016 I worked as a freelance for the NHS IAPT service in Kent. From 2016 I offer sessions for clients with private medical insurance with Bupa.
I am a member of BACP (The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) as MBACP (Accred).
I have regular supervision and I continually update my professional development.
My practice is protected by Professional Indemnity Insurance.
